This is my first entry on this website. I have never really used a site like this before, I never had anything like it. I am sure it will be an easier place for me to journal, rather than using HTML on my website like I usually do. I might post some of my old website journal entries here if I can. I do like having a journal on my website, I think it's fun, but I also did a lot of work on it and it would be a waste to just get rid of it.
I don't know if I will use this for anything other than journals. I could really write about almost anything and share it here. I could write reviews, or do some short essays on things that I find interesting. Maybe even share some short stories if I can come up with anything. Anyways, I have had an account here for a few days but I am finally going to try to post an entry here.
I also notice that people post fanfiction here. I think I will stick to my usual site for that.
Lately I have been watching more movies. I have a nice streak going, I've been watching at least one movie a day. I have been doing that since the 5th of this month (though I did miss a movie on the 9th) and it has been fun. I have been keeping it generally spooky for October, but on the 12th I saw "Stop Making Sense" in theatres. I had never seen it until then, and I thought it was really good. Other than that, this month I have watched both of the Orphan movies, Totally Killer, Malignant, Re-Animator, Over The Garden Wall, Jason X, and today (so far) I have watched Twitches. Most of those are first viewings, everything except for Re-Animator and Over The Garden Wall. I have really enjoyed all of the movies I have watched so far. I don't know what I am going to watch next, I will have to look around. I should probably finish that one movie I started the other day but never finished but I don't know. I kinda feel like watching Disney movies today. Maybe I will re-watch Hocus Pocus or maybe find something I have not seen before.
Other than movies, I have been keeping it generally spooky this month with the book I've been reading. Other than getting the first issue of the Dead by Daylight comic book, I have been reading a book I checked out from the library. It's "The Final Girl Support Group" by Grady Hendrix. I am really enjoying it so far. I have been trying to read more and this book has been really fun to read. I don't usually get lost in a book too often but this one had me really immersed this morning. I will try to read more of it tonight because it is due on the 18th and I am only a little over halfway through. If I have to renew it, I will. If I can. I don't want to be rude and keep it too long.
The only thing I have not been spooky with this month is video games. I have been playing so much Yakuza still. I played a ton of Yakuza 3 yesterday. I went from Chapter 6 to Chapter 9 last night. The story is really picking up. When I am really into the story of Yakuza games, my focus goes from substories to the main plot. It happened to me during Yakuza 0, I felt such a sense of urgency in that game when there really wasn't any. I guess I got really immersed into the story. Out of all of the Yakuza games I have played so far, Yakuza 0 is still my favourite. I think my least favourite is probably Yakuza Kiwami. I thought the story was the weakest, and the only thing that really kept me playing was seeing all of the Majima Everywhere encounters. Majima made that game really fun until I had to run around and hope that I run into the encounter that I was looking for.
I really liked Kiwami 2, and not just because of the Majima Saga or the new game engine, but I thought the story was at least a bit more interesting than Kiwami.
The music I have been listening to lately is the Yakuza soundtracks, mainly the karaoke but even the actual music from the games is really good too. I am someone to listened to video game soundtracks to begin with, so it's nothing new to me, but I just really like the music from these games. Other than Yakuza soundtracks, I have been listening to so much BUCK-TICK and they have quickly become one of my favourite bands. They are certainly my favourite Japanese band. I just love the sound of their music. My favourite album of theirs so far Juusankai Wa Gekkou, their 2005 album. I love so many songs on that one, Diabolo -Lucifer-, seraphim, Gesshoku, Romance. So many songs on that album are just amazing to me. I highly recommend it. I still have a lot of albums to listen to, I am listening to their album Memento mori right now. On this album, I really like the song Suzumebachi. This album is really good so far. I love the sound a lot. Their album prior to this one has a few really good songs, but I'm not to fussy on it to be honest. They start off really strong, but a lot of the songs are pretty "same" to me. Maybe I need to give it another chance later, or hear more of it. Maybe it will grow on me. Only time will tell.
I don't think I have anything else to talk about. I will figure out what movie I am going to watch next, or maybe see what I can do about posting my entries from my website onto here. If not, it's no big deal.
Have a good day/night, whoever reads this.
